ABOUT US

Meghana: Your Partner for Holistic Growth

My work in the field of yoga therapy started off with curiosity… the curiosity to understand how the human body heals. With my own scientific study and years of hands-on experience, I realised that true wellbeing can be found at the crossroads of medicine, mindfulness, and compassionate care. That’s why I planted the seed of Yoga Pranayama.

I’m a professional yoga therapist with 2000+ hours of professional training, 7+ years of teaching experience, and 5 years of clinical therapeutic practice. My academic qualifications comprise a Master of Science and Postgraduate Diploma in yoga therapy & stress management. This combination enabled me to develop programs that aren’t just holistic but also evidence-based. Over time, I worked in retirement villages, aged care environments, and school communities to help those who have lost touch with their bodies, and want to balance movement and mind.

My Mission

As the founder of Yoga Parampara, and a certified wellbeing support specialist and yoga therapist, I have a mission to make yoga therapy a part of everyday life. Not as something exclusive or distant but an easy-to-approach and evidence-based pathway to holistic health.

I believe that healing starts in spaces where individuals begin to feel secure, comprehended, and liked. With my therapeutic yoga sessions, I want to build a room where individuals can slow down, and pay attention to what their body has to say.

My Vision

To see yoga therapy as a valid and reliable complementary approach in the world of healthcare. Modern medicine is evolving rapidly. And so is the awareness to attain true wellbeing. More and more people are looking for ways to take care of their mind, body, and nervous system together. Yoga Parampara envisions a future where therapeutic yoga collaborates with mainstream healthcare, complementing preventive care, mental health, and chronic conditions management.

By means of further learning, teamwork, and kind practice, I hope to bring a change to the healthcare terrain where integrative practices are welcomed and easily available. No one, be it a young adult, child, or elderly, should wait for illness to appear before caring for themselves. Rather, they work at fostering health as a natural and ongoing process of their lives.

Evidence based and humane

Science of Breath. Art of Care

Breath-centred, gentle, and humane is the approach we follow at Yoga Parampara. Our yoga practices are evidence-based and focus on stress management, emotional regulation, and mental wellbeing. We instill a sense of safety, belonging, respect, and support in people to be themselves by creating a trauma-informed environment.

Being a Wellbeing Support Specialist and Yoga Therapist, wellbeing to Meghana isn’t about being flexible or relaxing for a minute or two. It’s a thorough agreement between different systems in your body – musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, digestive, nervous systems. When they move in harmony, you get a backing of emotional resilience and self-awareness.

Through breath-centred, integrative yoga sessions, we aspire to:

  • Help people learn about their body and mind better
  • Empower women via transitional life stages in a dignified manner
  • Enhance life quality in elderly care using compassionate therapeutic engagement
  • Prepare children and adolescents with emotional regulation mechanisms throughout life
  • Bridge ancient yoga wisdom with current scientific understanding
  • Each session lets you take a dip into the river of healing; you can slow down even if the current is fast. Look inward and find the healing powers within.

Yoga As Path to Collective Wellbeing

Yoga, as I share it, is not about poses and outstanding flexibility. It concerns affiliation, perseverance, and long-term healing that supports the whole person.

Meghana, over the years, has worked with various organisations, community groups, and public initiatives that seek to empower community wellbeing. It is thanks to these partnerships that Yoga Parampara has managed to touch so many lives. Over the last 10 years, my practice has engaged with:

  • Mental health clinics
  • Community health programs
  • Preventive well-being services
  • School and family wellbeing initiatives

No matter the place, the purpose has always been the same – to aid people in establishing contact with their breathing, bodies, and inner steadiness.
